RARO Advisory Councils are in place to give the RARO Board and Staff feedback and suggestions regarding specific sports in RARO's programming.

Council members usually have experience in the sport for which they serve in coaching and/or officiating. Council members are nominated by RARO staff and approved by the RARO Board of Directors.

Advisory Councils usually meet prior to the season the program runs and then shortly afterwards to evaluate the season. They also meet at other times as occasion warrants. They examine rules, policy and procedure and offer suggestions for improving the experience for RARO participants. Advisory Councils are not policy making bodies but are advisory only in capacity.
